Education loan support for students

Students can explore education loans through nationalised and public-sector banks, by applying at the nearest eligible branch in their hometown.

Indicative interest rate from9% p.a.
What affects the interest rate
  • Bank and loan scheme
  • Loan amount
  • Student's eligibility
  • Course and institution
  • Applicable government or bank schemes
  • Repayment terms
  1. The student or parent approaches the nearest eligible nationalised bank.
  2. The student submits the required academic and personal documents.
  3. The bank evaluates the student's eligibility and the course and institution details.
  4. If approved, the bank sanctions the eligible loan amount.
  5. The loan is disbursed as per the bank's terms.
  6. Repayment is made through monthly instalments (EMIs), as per the bank's schedule.

Loan availability, amount, documentation, repayment period, moratorium and EMI depend on each bank's policies and the student's eligibility. Final approval and the applicable interest rate are decided by the bank, so students should confirm the terms with the bank when applying.
